My Take
Salar Kamangar fascinates me precisely because so few people know his name. An Iranian-born immigrant who trained at Stanford, he rose to lead YouTube during the years it became woven into daily life worldwide. I am drawn to builders who shape the infrastructure of modern culture from behind the scenes rather than chasing the spotlight. The fact that someone could move from biology toward steering one of the planet's most-used platforms speaks to adaptability and quiet vision. To me, his career is a reminder that some of the most influential people are the ones we never see.
