My Take

Sarah Drew earned a lot of goodwill from Grey's Anatomy fans because April Kepner grew from an easy-to-dismiss side character into one of the show's most emotionally complex figures. Drew played April's crises of faith and that devastating storyline around her pregnancy with real conviction, and her exit was one of the more talked-about departures in the show's run. I appreciate that she leaned into projects that reflect her own values rather than chasing whatever's trendy, including faith-based films.
