My Take
Sean Duffy has one of the more improbable trajectories I've covered. He started as a cast member on The Real World, became a lawyer, then a congressman, and eventually U.S. Secretary of Transportation. The reality-TV-to-politics pipeline is real, but few travel it this far. Born in Hayward, Wisconsin, he clearly learned early how to perform under a camera, and I suspect that on-screen ease became a genuine political asset.
