Seiya Sugishita

Seiya Sugishita's career is a striker's road trip across Asia: back-to-back scoring titles in the Kanto Soccer League with Saitama SC, then a leap to India's I-League with Sporting Goa, followed by Trat and Rayong in Thailand. Scoring goals in unfamiliar leagues, languages and climates takes a particular kind of stubbornness. He's 38 now, firmly in the veteran bracket, and I find that journeyman arc more interesting than many glossier careers.
