Shenae Grimes

Shenae Grimes is, to me, a textbook example of a young actor who grew up on screen. Four seasons as Darcy on Degrassi: The Next Generation gave her real reps before she landed the lead as Annie Wilson on 90210, which is the role most people picture her in. What I appreciate is that she didn't try to coast on the teen-drama image forever; branching into photography and YouTube shows a curiosity beyond acting. The Toronto upbringing fits the unpretentious vibe I get from her. She strikes me as someone comfortable reinventing how she shows up rather than chasing the spotlight.
