My Take
I'll be honest, Hatsuhiko Tsuji is the kind of guy I respect way more than I expected to. He never struck me as a highlight-reel slugger, and that's exactly the point. Standing 182cm out of little Saga, he made his name at second base, where the work is thankless and the glory goes to somebody else. A clean turn, a routine grounder swallowed without drama, the steadying presence that lets a whole infield breathe easier. I love that. There's something deeply satisfying about a craftsman who treats fundamentals like a religion, and Tsuji had that quiet, blue-collar certainty about him. The fact that he kept living in the game long after his playing days only confirms it. Some people just are baseball, top to bottom, and he's one of them.
