Shimon Ohkura

Shimon Ohkura comes from Kyotanabe in Kyoto Prefecture and stands 175 cm. He was briefly in Kansai Johnny's Jr., then became a reader model for Popteen, where teenage readers voted him their favorite male model. From 2014 he moved into variety shows, TV dramas and the stage, and in 2022 he set up his own agency and married the model and TV personality Miyu Ikeda. Magazine shoots, talk show appearances, a steady daily presence on social feeds: that kind of work rarely lands in a notable works field, but it is exactly how his generation of reader models got known.
