My Take
SpaceGhostPurrp deserves far more credit than he usually gets. To me he is one of those underground architects who quietly reshaped a whole sound. Coining and pioneering phonk, founding Raider Klan, and feeding the bloodstream of modern trap, he influenced countless artists who became bigger than him. That is the most honest kind of importance, the kind that shows up downstream. He never chased mainstream polish, and his murky, hypnotic low-end aesthetic still echoes through internet rap today. I respect creators who change the current rather than ride it, and Miami's own did exactly that.
