My Take

Stanislav Manolev is the kind of footballer I find easy to root for. A right-back from Blagoevgrad standing 185 cm, he played one of the most thankless positions in the game, where you sprint up and down the flank all match and rarely get the glory. Bulgarian full-backs do not get many headlines, yet careers like his are the connective tissue every team relies on. What interests me most is his move into coaching after retiring, passing on the hard-won craft of defending. That progression suggests a serious football mind, and I would happily follow whatever bench he ends up on.
