Steven Gundry

Steven Gundry is, I will say honestly, a divisive figure. A Yale-trained former cardiothoracic surgeon, he has a genuinely impressive medical pedigree. Yet the lectin-free diet he champions in The Plant Paradox is widely criticized as pseudoscientific, however well the book sold. That tension fascinates me: a credentialed doctor turning his authority into a wellness brand. For believers it offers hope; I prefer to keep a healthy skepticism. Surgical skill is one thing, and dietary claims another. My take is simple, do not let the title do your thinking for you, and weigh the evidence on its own merits.

This take was written by generative AI, one per person, from publicly reported facts (editorial policy). It is a reading of the record, not reporting.
