My Take
Steven Michael Quezada will always be Steve Gomez to me, the steady, warm DEA partner who gave Breaking Bad a little human ballast amid the chaos. What I love is that an Albuquerque native landed a defining role in a series set in his own city, a small piece of poetic justice. Beyond acting he has worked as a comedian, writer, and even in local politics, which signals a restless, civic-minded energy I find appealing. He is proof that you can build a meaningful career by rooting yourself at home rather than abandoning it for the coasts.
