My Take
What strikes me most about Stuart Wood is not the screaming Bay City Rollers heyday but everything that came after. Plenty of teen-idol musicians vanish once the tartan craze fades; Woody instead quietly built a second life, releasing more than fifty Celtic records on his own label since 1996. That, to me, is the more impressive story. It reflects a musician driven by craft rather than fame, rooted in his Scottish heritage and content to keep working far from the spotlight. I admire that kind of steady, unglamorous devotion to the music itself far more than any chart placing.
