My Take
I hold Tarana Burke in deep respect. Long before MeToo became a global hashtag, she started it in 2006 as a modest program protecting young people from sexual violence in her community. That origin matters to me; it shows the movement grew from genuine care, not opportunism. Being named Time Person of the Year is impressive, but what truly draws me in is her conviction that two small words could shift the world. Burke reminds me that the most lasting change often begins quietly, beside those who feel unheard. She planted a seed and trusted it to become a forest.
