My Take
Terumi Izumi has had a winding path, from race queen and idol group leader to stepping away from show business and then winning the premium division of Miss Japan in 2024. Standing ringside at a roaring circuit, looking sharp, keeping your composure and your charisma turned all the way up while engines scream around you — that takes genuine presence, not just a good look. At 167cm she's got the frame for it, and the jump into talent work on top of that tells me she's the kind of person who adapts fast and reads a room well. Coming back at 37 to win a national contest says something about her nerve, and I respect that.
