Toby Kebbell is one of those actors I genuinely wish more people talked about — a proper British character actor who can disappear into almost anything and come out the other side looking like he's always been there. He broke through with Shane Meadows in Dead Man's Shoes, which is still a gut-punch of a film, and then carved out this interesting dual existence: indie credibility on one hand, big studio blockbusters on the other. His motion-capture work as Koba in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is honestly some of the most expressive, emotionally convincing performance-capture ever put on screen — better than many live-action villain turns from the same era. Fantastic Four was a mess, but that was never his fault. He keeps showing up, doing solid work, and never overselling himself. Quietly one of the best in the business.
