Vic Fuentes

Vic Fuentes is the heart of Pierce the Veil, the band he built with his brother Mike in 2006, and what keeps me interested is his emotional range. Post-hardcore can be all aggression, but his writing balances genuine ferocity with real melodic tenderness, swinging from screams to soaring hooks within a single song. The fact that he came up through a San Diego state university hints at a craftsman's mind beneath the raw feeling. Carrying a band alongside family, touring the world for years, takes serious resolve. He sings both California sunshine and private ache, and I find that duality compelling.
