My Take

Vic Law is one of those players who genuinely took the long road to find his groove, and I find that story compelling. A 6'7" wing out of South Holland, Illinois who starred at St. Rita of Cascia and then played for Northwestern — not exactly a basketball factory — he went undrafted but kept grinding through the G League and overseas circuits. What got me interested in him was landing with the Ryukyu Golden Kings in Japan's B.League, where he reportedly became a real contributor rather than just another import placeholder. There's something satisfying about a guy who doesn't make the NBA but refuses to quit basketball on his own terms, travels to the other side of the world, and actually thrives. College-educated, clearly smart about the game — I'm rooting for him.
