Young Dolph

What I respect most about Young Dolph is that he was as much a businessman as a rapper. He built and ran his own label rather than chasing a major deal, and he broke through commercially on his own terms with that Cut It feature. A Chicago-born, Memphis-raised hustler, he turned independence into a brand. His murder in 2021, at just thirty-six, was a genuine tragedy: a man who carved his own path, cut down by violence. I think his entrepreneurial defiance and self-made discipline deserve to be remembered as much as his music.
