My Take

Mulder is one of those strikers I instinctively trust. Born in Brussels but Dutch through and through, he was a tall, physical centre-forward at 190 cm, best remembered for his long, gritty service to Schalke 04. He was never the flashy genius type; he was the worker who fought for every ball and made teammates better. That's why his move into management and coaching makes sense to me, taking what his body learned and translating it for the next generation. I value the players who win through effort rather than gifts, and Mulder always struck me as exactly that.
