Yuki Chiba

Yuki Chiba, long known as Kohh, is one of those artists I keep circling back to. He was making raw, unguarded Japanese rap before the genre found its current spotlight, and his rebrand has not dulled the bluntness that made him distinctive. What interests me is his refusal to chase trends; his songs feel set to his own internal tempo, which is exactly why they age well. There is honesty in his delivery that translates even across a language barrier. I think his real legacy is showing younger artists that vulnerability and authenticity can be their own kind of cool.
