Yumiri Hanamori

What draws me to Yumiri Hanamori is the quiet confidence of her craft. I love that her debut alias was simply her name spelled backwards, Rimiyu, a small playful gesture that hints at both wit and a stubborn loyalty to her own identity. Born in Kanagawa in 1997, she belongs to a generation now carrying the Japanese voice-acting world, and her range, slipping between boyish and delicate registers, feels genuinely natural rather than studied. She now runs her own agency, tomorrow jam, which tells me she'd rather steer her own work, and frankly, the work behind the microphone does the talking.
