My Take
Abby Fung strikes me as the kind of Taiwanese actress who built a career on substance rather than spectacle. She finished at Tamkang University before stepping into acting and modeling, and that detour through real study reads, to me, as a sign of someone unhurried and grounded. Taiwanese drama leans on performers who can carry quiet emotion convincingly, and I suspect she is exactly that sort. From Chiayi, she first won fame impersonating Lin Chi-ling on the variety show Quanmin Dameng Guo, earning the nickname "Little Chi-ling", and the through-line of education then craft is the kind of steadiness I find quietly admirable.
