My Take
Adam DeVine is one of those guys who just radiates big, loud, lovable chaos energy, and I genuinely think he's underrated for how hard he commits to it. Growing up in Iowa and Nebraska, he co-created and starred in Workaholics on Comedy Central, which ran for seven seasons and built a cult following on the strength of his unhinged physical comedy and zero-filter delivery. His turn as Bumper Allen in the Pitch Perfect franchise is honestly one of the funniest supporting performances in those movies — the guy leans into pompous a cappella dork-dom with such conviction that you can't help rooting for him. Then there's The Righteous Gemstones, where he plays Kelvin Gemstone with the kind of gleeful, clueless arrogance that takes real comedic skill to sustain. He's not a prestige darling, but he's been consistently funny across TV and film for over a decade, and that's no small thing.
