Akari Ishizuka

Akari Ishizuka went from three straight Kōhaku appearances with NMB48 to acting, YouTube, producing her own theatre company and running an apparel brand, and honestly that range works in her favor. Japanese idol culture asks a lot of people — constant smiling, constant performing, constant presence — and the fact that she's kept showing up on Instagram and X, speaking in her own voice, says something real about her staying power. I've got a soft spot for anyone who does the unglamorous work without making a big show of it, and that's the vibe I get here. Root for her.
