Akari Takaishi

I first noticed Takaishi in the Baby Assassins films, where she plays a teenage contract killer who can barely survive a part-time job interview. That gap, lethal one minute and hopeless the next, is her whole appeal. A scrappy low-budget series carried her all the way to the lead in NHK's morning drama Bakebake, and she is still only 23.
