My Take
A Keio University graduate who chose to make her living throwing people around a wrestling ring — I mean, you can't script a more compelling backstory than that. Kawasaki raised her, and if you know anything about that city, the raw, unpolished energy of the place makes total sense as an origin story for a pro wrestler. What really gets me is the brain-plus-brawn combination: while most people with a Keio degree are filing into corporate offices in Marunouchi, she was stepping through the ropes. Women's pro wrestling in Japan is brutally demanding on the body and mind, and anyone who sticks with it long-term has a kind of quiet toughness that's honestly hard to find anywhere else. Add in her work as a Jodo-shu priest and hypnotherapist, and the life she's chosen tells me more than a highlights reel ever could.
