My Take

What pulls me to Bogomolov is the in-between life he lived: born in Moscow, competing as an American, and known affectionately on tour as Bogie. That kind of dual identity is harder than the stat sheet ever shows, and I respect athletes who carve out a home between two flags. At 178 cm he was never the imposing physical type, which makes the grind of the pro circuit feel even more earned.
