My Take
Look, Alex Jones is one of those figures you genuinely cannot ignore, no matter how hard you try. The guy from Dallas built Infowars into a media empire on pure, barely-contained screaming energy — and whatever you think of his politics or his conspiracies, the man has an almost supernatural ability to command attention. He took the paranoid AM-radio tradition and turbocharged it into the internet age, becoming one of the most influential — and most consequential — media personalities of his generation. The Sandy Hook defamation verdicts that came down against him were a reminder that words carry real weight, even when shouted at maximum volume. He's a genuinely complex product of American media culture: part carnival barker, part true believer, and a cautionary tale about where influence without accountability leads.
