My Take
Allen Iverson remains, for me, the most influential small player in NBA history. At 183 centimeters he won the 2001 MVP in a league of giants, and his crossover changed how guards attack forever. But what I value even more is what he represented off the court: a kid from Hampton, Virginia who carried hip-hop culture into the league unapologetically and forced basketball to expand its idea of what a star could look like. The rapper side of him was never a gimmick — it was the same fearlessness expressed in another form. Heart over height: nobody has ever embodied it better.
