Allu Aravind

Allu Aravind is exactly the sort of behind-the-scenes power I love uncovering. As the founder of Geetha Arts and a force in Telugu cinema, plus a co-owner of the streaming service Aha and a football club, he's less a single craftsman than an architect of whole entertainment ecosystems. South Indian cinema's surging global reach owes a lot to producers like him who think in platforms and pipelines, not just films. Born in 1949, he strikes me as a patient empire-builder, the kind who plants infrastructure others get famous standing on. I find that quieter form of influence genuinely compelling.
