Amanda Anisimova

Amanda Anisimova is one of those rare players who you just know was born for the big stage — she reached the French Open semifinals at 17, which is remarkable enough on its own, but what really stuck with me was everything she went through afterward. Losing her father and coach Konstantin mid-season in 2019, then fighting through burnout and mental health struggles before clawing her way back to the tour — that's a kind of resilience that goes way beyond tennis. Standing 5 feet 11 inches tall with a flat, penetrating groundstroke game that can dismantle anyone on any surface, she has the weapons to genuinely threaten at every Slam. She's still only in her mid-twenties, with two major finals in 2025 and WTA titles including top-tier events. I'm rooting hard for her.
