My Take

Amanda Peet is the kind of performer I trust most: never the loudest name on the poster, yet reliably the person who sharpens every scene she is in. Her breakout in The Whole Nine Yards showed comic timing most leads would envy, and her quieter pivot into writing and producing tells me she was always studying the craft, not just performing it.
