My Take
Anders Holm is comfort viewing for me. Workaholics was scrappy, lowbrow and weirdly affectionate, and the fact that he co-created it with his actual friends from Mail Order Comedy is the whole appeal, you can feel that real-life chemistry on screen. There's something I respect about a University of Wisconsin guy and his buddies just willing themselves into a Comedy Central show. He's branched into writing and producing, and shown up in plenty of films, but to me his sweet spot stays that easy, deadpan slacker register. Not everyone needs to be prestige; some people are just good company.
