My Take

Andre Berto was always more exciting than his record suggested, and I mean that as praise. He came up as a powerful, fast welterweight with real charisma, and his first fight with Victor Ortiz is one of the most thrilling action bouts of its era, with both men hitting the canvas. He never quite cemented himself among the all-time greats, and getting the Mayweather payday late in his career raised eyebrows, but he gave fans value every time. A fighter who chose risk over caution, which I respect.
