Andre Royo

Andre Royo earns my lasting respect for Bubbles on The Wire, a portrayal of addiction so tender and human it remains a benchmark. The Bronx-born actor is far more than one role, though: he produces and writes, and turns up across Fringe, Empire, and beyond, the sort of dependable presence productions keep reaching for. What I value most is how he shines in the margins, holding a story together from its corners rather than its center. That's a rarer and richer kind of talent than top billing, and I'm thoroughly sold on it.
