My Take

Andy Buckley is, for me, a quiet masterclass in the value of the character actor. A Stanford graduate and former real stockbroker, he brings a lived-in corporate authority that no amount of coaching can fake, which is exactly why his David Wallace on The Office landed so well. He never tries to steal a scene; instead he walks in and instantly recalibrates the room's temperature. I find that restraint far more impressive than showier work. He trades flash for credibility, and performers who win audiences through trust rather than spectacle are the ones I find myself rooting for most.
