Anyma

Anyma is one of the few artists where I genuinely feel the future leaking through. As Matteo Milleri, the Italian-American producer behind half of Tale of Us and co-founder of Afterlife Records, he treats sound, image, and technology as one continuous canvas. Pairing the title track of his 2021 EP Claire with an NFT music video was not a gimmick to me; it signaled an artist thinking past the song. His melodic techno paired with vast visual staging is the rare spectacle I would actually travel to experience in person. DJ, producer, director, world-builder, the titles keep multiplying, and I find that restlessness compelling.
