My Take

Carrying the Manning name is both a gift and a target, and Arch handles the spotlight with a level head that impresses me. He could have cashed in early on his bloodline, but instead he sat patiently behind a starter at Texas and learned the system, which tells you a lot about his maturity. The arm talent and football IQ are obviously there, but what I find most compelling is the restraint. Whether he reaches the heights of Peyton and Eli is an open question, yet I am genuinely curious to watch a young quarterback grow up under the heaviest expectations in the sport.

Overview

Arch Manning (born April 27, 2005) is an American college football quarterback for the Texas Longhorns at the University of Texas at Austin. He is a member of the famous Manning football family, the grandson of Archie Manning and nephew of NFL stars Peyton and Eli Manning. A highly touted recruit out of New Orleans, he is widely regarded as one of the most anticipated college football prospects of his generation.
