Belladonna

What I respect most about Belladonna, born Michelle Sinclair in Biloxi, Mississippi, is her refusal to be merely a performer. She moved into directing and producing, seizing creative control of her own work in an industry that rarely grants women that authority. After retiring in 2012, she pivoted into mainstream films like Inherent Vice, showing real nerve in reinventing herself against heavy stigma. I'm drawn to people who define their own path rather than accept the limits others assign them, and her career reads as exactly that kind of self-determination. There's a genuine backbone to how she has lived and worked.
