My Take
Bo Jackson is, for me, the clearest answer to how far raw human ability can stretch. Out of Bessemer, Alabama, he won the 1985 Heisman Trophy at Auburn and later earned an MLB All-Star MVP, the only athlete to be an All-Star in two major American sports. Numbers aside, what fascinates me is how effortless his dominance looked, as if he were barely trying. His career was cut short by injury, which only deepened the legend rather than diminishing it. Most of us could only dream of excelling in one sport; he simply refused to choose. To me he is a genuine mythic figure.
