He rarely needed to throw a punch because his weapon was the microphone, and as a manager and commentator he could make any feud feel essential. The nickname The Brain was earned, not given. What I admire most is how his quick wit elevated everyone around him, turning sidekick roles into the heart of the show. His double induction into the WWE and Observer Halls of Fame confirms it. Few entertainers have ever made an audience laugh so effortlessly.
