Bobby Witt Jr.

Okay, I'll just say it: Bobby Witt Jr. is one of the most fun players in baseball to watch right now, and I don't think it's close. The kid came out of Colleyville, Texas as the second overall pick in 2019 and somehow lived up to all of it, which almost never happens. What gets me is that he's a true five-tool shortstop in an era when most guys specialize. He can rake, he can pick it at short, and he runs like he's late for something. That 2024 season, with the All-Star nod, the Gold Glove, and the Silver Slugger, felt like the whole league finally clocking what Royals fans already knew. He plays with this loose, electric joy, and honestly, I just like rooting for him.
