Booker T earns my admiration not just for what he did in the ring but for everything after. Plenty of wrestlers can win titles; far fewer reinvent themselves as sharp commentators and then build a promotion of their own, as he did with Reality of Wrestling. That instinct to give back to the business is what elevates a Hall of Famer from icon to elder statesman. At 191 cm with an irrepressible charisma, the Houston native made the spectacle feel joyful. I value performers who keep nurturing their craft for the next generation, and Booker T is a textbook example of that generosity.
