Brendan Fraser

Brendan Fraser's career is the comeback story I find most moving in modern Hollywood. He spent the late nineties as a bankable, endlessly likable leading man in The Mummy and George of the Jungle, then quietly vanished from the spotlight for years. When he returned and won the 2023 Academy Award for Best Actor, the standing ovations felt less like industry politeness and more like a collective apology and thank-you. I always thought his comedic work was underrated; physical comedy that effortless takes genuine craft. What he carries now is rarer still: vulnerability without bitterness. I am rooting for whatever he does next.
