My Take
Brewster Kahle is someone I'm genuinely proud to feature. He built the Internet Archive and the Wayback Machine, quietly preserving a web that would otherwise vanish, and that may be one of the most quietly important projects of our era. An MIT-trained engineer who co-founded Alexa, he clearly could have chased pure profit, yet he chose to become a kind of librarian for civilization. To me, that choice is what makes him remarkable. In an age where information disappears in an instant, he positioned himself as a guardian of memory. His 2012 Internet Hall of Fame honor feels entirely earned. I hold him in real esteem.
