My Take
Cherry Jones is the actor's actor, someone who built her reputation the slow, honest way through the theater. Trained at Carnegie Mellon and a founding member of the American Repertory Theater, she earned two Tony Awards before conquering screen work and adding Primetime Emmys. I respect performers who win acclaim through craft rather than tabloid noise, and that is exactly her path, role by carefully chosen role. There is a quiet authority in her presence that holds a room without raising its voice. She is proof that patient, disciplined artistry still gets rewarded, and I find that deeply reassuring.
