Conway The Machine

Conway the Machine has a voice I cannot get enough of, all grit and gravel. The Buffalo native co-founded Griselda Records with his half-brother Westside Gunn, helping resurrect a dark, hard-edged, 90s-inspired strain of hip hop in a glossier era. What I value most is how the hardship he has survived seeps into every bar, lending his lyricism a weight that cannot be faked. He refuses to chase trends, and that uncompromising honesty is exactly what makes him compelling. His rhymes feel as cold and sharp as a Buffalo winter, and I hope he keeps carving them for years.
