My Take
Dalton Knecht's path is the part that hooks me. No blue-chip pipeline out of Fargo, North Dakota; instead junior college, then Northern Colorado, then Tennessee, where he exploded into SEC Player of the Year. Getting drafted 17th by the Lakers after that detour says a lot about a scorer's hunger and refusal to quit. I respect late bloomers who keep climbing without losing their edge, and his story reads exactly that way. Wearing that storied purple-and-gold is a long way from the prairie, and I'm genuinely curious how far his shot-making takes him. A young player worth watching.
