My Take
Daniel Radcliffe could have coasted forever on the most famous role in modern cinema, and the fact that he didn't is what earns my respect. After Harry Potter, he deliberately chose the strange and the risky — baring himself on stage in Equus, playing a flatulent corpse, singing and dancing on Broadway — as if methodically dismantling the boy wizard one project at a time. The 2024 Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical felt like the final word: he is simply a fine actor, full stop. Add his self-deprecating humor and total lack of star vanity, and you get the rare child actor who grew up not just intact but genuinely interesting.
