Danni Ashe

I read Danni Ashe less as an adult performer and more as an early internet entrepreneur who saw where the web was going before most. Out of Beaufort, South Carolina, she moved from dancing and modeling to founding Danni's Hard Drive in 1995, building and running her own site in the medium's infancy. That took technical nerve and business sense, not just visibility, and she even testified before a government panel as an industry advocate, earning an XRCO Hall of Fame nod in 2006. What I respect most is the agency of it: she wrote her own code and carved her own path rather than waiting to be cast.
